Shopping Day

Hello my lovelies, how are you?? I've been so lazy lately, I forgot to post! Sorry for that. Yesterday I had the chance to chat a little bit with the lovely Clairey from Oh So Glams Blog. It was fun! Let's do it again soon.

Well, at least I've got something to post about today, as I went shopping the whole day with my friend. We paid a visit to a great and huge shopping mall in Essen, called Limbecker Platz which is about half anhour away by train from Düsseldorf.

Essen Central Station, the blue lights were really cool :-)

My friend wanted to go to a cosmetic store called Kiko Cosmetics, to buy nail colours :-) They had a huge variety of lovely colours.

Häagen Dasz White Chocolate Raspberry, sponsored by my lovely friend! (Thanks so much again, as I know you're reading this! I'll treat you to something nice the next time!)

A beautiful fountain

Super cute penguin sweatshirts :-))

Bonus pic: my outfit of the day! (Sorry for the mess in my room)
Beanie: no brand
Jeans jacket: Miss Sixty
Onepiece: Daiei
Leggins: Honeys
Shoes: from a random store in Harajuku
You can't see it on this foto, but I'm actually wearing heels :-)

Maybe this one's better?? But too dark, lol.

Okay, that's it for today, hope you enjoyed. Tommorrow I've got my day off from work, and I will use that to go to the Netherlands for fun. Just for one day, 'cause we live near the border. That's the practical thing about living in Europe, you can go to another country so fast if you live near the border :-) Have a lovely weekend, my followers!

Post Number 90

No travel post this time! :-) Sorry to dissappoint everyone who has been waiting for another one. I'll do a travel post soon again.

This week's going to be very boring, my sis left this morning for her one week excursion to England with her university class, most of my friends are busy or are not here atm, and I have to work only one time this week. I've made an "appointment" with Littledemonpixie for skyping this Wednesday (looking forward to that), anyone else who wants to skype or chat or write emails and what not with me? XD

Anyways, that leaves me time to blog more :-) Btw, this is my 90th post, just 10 more and I have written 100 posts!  This is the longest I've been keeping up with blogging. I once had a livejournal, but I gave up on it very soon, lol. Thank you for following and always leaving me nice comments! I love you guys!

I was browsing my pic folders again, and want to share some random cute fotos with you today. Have fun!

Rilakkuma Teriyaki-Burger, coffee and Onion Karaage-kun from Lawson. Too cute to eat it, right??

More Rilakkuma coffee and Korilakkuma milk

Rilakkuma chips and milk pudding :-)

Rilakkuma haul from the Ufo Catcher

Again Rilakkuma

Now you see where most of my money goes to whenever I'm in JP. I'm a hopeless bear addict, hahahaha! Actually, I'm also using all the bear stuff and not horting it in my treasure chest in my room :-)) I will hold back with buying so many bear stuff during my WH, but that will be hard... Do you also have something you're really addicted to and spend so much money on it?

Okay, it's bedtime here in Germany. See you!

Travel post: Naoshima (Setonaikai)

Today I browsed my old pic folders and thought it is maybe time to write a travel post again? I remember that I promised to write a post about the Konpira-san, too. Bad me, I just forgot! XD

So I wanna  write about the island of Naoshima my sister and me had the chance to visit in the Seto Inland Sea between Honshu and Shikoku. I bet most of you are going to Tokyo or Osaka when you visit Japan, but hardly get to see other places, right? Except for Hokkaido I've been on all three main islands of Japan, and I really hope to explore more of them in my WH year.

Naoshima is the yellow island :-) Actually we wanted to go to Shodoshima that day XD On the map you can see all the districts of Kagawa prefecture.

We took the ferry from Takamatsu City which took about 25 minutes to Naoshima.

Only water and some little islands around us

The special thing about Naoshima is that it is a kind of "Island of Arts". You can find funny sculptures everywhere on the island, and many museums as also. We were able to visit the Benesse House and the Art House Project. The entrance fee was about 1000 Yen each time, but it was really worth it.

I just love the beautiful landscape

Me, my sis and our friend Yui next to a huge sculpture :)

I love this pic XD

A huge pumpkin sculpture

Pumpkins seemed to be popular :-)

Bonus shot: our dinner back in Takamatsu :-)

It was so unbelievably hot and humid that day, I even got lightly sunburned at my shoulders. But it was really worth it, having spent the day in such an sophisticated and cultural place. Normally I'm not really into arts and stuff, but I can recommend a visit to Naoshima, because there you can have both a visit to the beach as well as a chance to improve oneself further in regards of arts. Next time I wanna visit Shodoshima for sure! I'm already thinking about what to post next, what would you like to see? More from Tokyo or the countryside of Kagawa?? With this is mind, see you next post!

Awards again!

Hey, I was awarded again, two time by the wonderful Naka! Thank you girl, I feel loved and I really appreciate that! :-)

Where do you think you'll be in 10 years?
Wow, in 10 years I'll be 33... hopefully I'll have a house and a safe job (in Japan or in Germany) till then. I also wanna say of myself I've seen a lot of this world. And of course I'd be still into everything japanese :-)

I nominate:

I nominate:

As lovely as awards are, it takes me too much time to write about them :-)) But it's till fun, so keep on tagging me! I still have to do a post about a tag game from Jessi! I didn't forget about that, just had so little time to do it!

I wanna leave you with a guessing game today! You maybe know that there are some weird machines or devices to be found only in Japan, I found some of those browsing my Japan-fotos files.

What do think is this? Well, those who are able to read Japanese may already know, so no prompting, please!

This is where I wanna be right now. Foto was taken from Odaiba, you can see Tokyo Tower and the Rainbow Bridge pretty well.

Next time I maybe have something more interesting to post, since today I'm going to two farewell partys for our two japanese interns at university, who will return to Japan the next days. See you then and have a lovely day! :-)

Random Fotos

Time for a new post! I have been quite busy the last couple of days, and it was way too hot in my room, that's why I didn't use the PC so often. Thank you for all of your kind comments on my last post! I wish I could return all of them, but my comment sytem is just so bad. Maybe I should try a new one, like the ones Sara Mari and Tom use for managing their comments? But I guess I'm too stupid to install it properly, hahaha! :-))

Today I just wanna share some random fotos I made with my mobile camera (my sis took my camera with her, before I could upload, that's why I still didn't send you the fotos, sorry Tom!). Not that creative of a post, but I hope you'll enjoy anyway:-)

Oh, and yeah, my sis got accepted as a foreign student in Japan, at Meiji Daigaku! She'll be there from Sep 2010 until Sep 2011!! That really made my day, knowing that we will be in Japan for almost the same time! I'll be leaving in November though, 2 months later than her :-)

Speaking of Japan, are you also following Sara Mari's blog Moments Like Diamonds? She is in Japan again right now, this time for awesome 6 weeks (I also stayed 6 weeks last year, enjoy the time it will be over way too fast! XD) Im checking her blog everyday to read her posts, it is so exciting! I highly recommend you to do so, too! :-)

Okay, here are the fotos! :-)

Lara and me went eating sweets! I had an Italian Tiramsu!

Lara had rasperry cream cake :-)

A funny piece of paper I saw at the tram station. For all non Germans, it says: "Do you have a foto from me on your mobile phone? I was photographed secretly, without my permission. The text is also not from me. You were simply fooled" I have no clue what this is actually about! XD

A (very bad) new picture from me, taken in the elevator of my friend's student dormitory :-) Yeah, I was bored inside that elevator, hahaha!

I really love random fotos, what about you? I'll post more if you like them. I have tons of random fotos, also many from Japan! :-)

I realized that I'm getting new followers almost every day lately!! Thank you so much! :-)) I'm happy people find my blog interesting enough to read! :-)) I really appreciate it! I'm also thinking of using formspring for the first time, I've seen it on many blogs and I think it is quite interesting! :-) Are there things you'd like to ask me? XDD

Hope you keep yourself cool in these hot days lately! Im having a huge plate of watermelon while writing this! :-) The next days it's gonna become so hot again!:-(

Last but not least, thanks Naka for your lovely Rolling Stones postcard which arrived today! :-) I wanted to take a foto, but my mobile battery died on me a second ago :-( Thanks for that, I'll reply to you soon! :-))

Shop Displays in Japan

I love looking at shop displays, here in Germany they are nothing special, even quite boring one could say, but in Japan, they are awesome! The shelves are fullpacked with cute stuff, colourful, so much fun to look at, even though you don't want to buy anything. (That is very hard to resist, though! XDD) I want to share some fotos for those of you haven't been to Japan yet and stilll want to see those increadible stuff! :-)

This one is called Usarusan, a mixture of rabbit and monkey:-)
At "Pani Pani". You can see my friends Ai and Yui in the background!
Rilakkuma, Rilakkuma
More Rilakkuma
Gachapin!!!
Last: more of the irresistable Relax Bear and his friends! :-)

Thanks to everybody who wished me to get better soon! I am feeling very good atm. Have a wonderful weekend! Hope you enjoyed the fotos! My next entry will probably contain a surprise! ^o^

Don't miss Audrey's giveaway!  You can win an awesome pair of handmade earrings!

It's almost done!

I can't believe it, it is almost done! I only have to write the conclusion chapter (about 3 pages) now, and then I will be finished! Then I will have it proof-read, printed out and binded. Are you interested in seeing my paper? Then I will share some fotos later, my deadline is April, 16. Honestly, I don't care about the mark I will gain for my final acadamic paper, I am just happy it will be done soon (hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday).

Then, I also can't believe it's my birthday this week on Thursday. I will become 23 years old. I really feel old now, especially after having met some Japanese exchange students (see pics below) from our partner university in Nagoya the last weeks. Many of them just started their German studies and were only about 19 years old. I can't even remember anymore, what I did with 19 except for having finished high school at that time around. And now I am almost finished with university. Time is flying too fast. Can you remember what it was like whan you were at my age? Or if you are at my age now, what you did when you were younger, let's say about 18, 19?

Anyway, have some pics from our last meeting at university, before they left for Japan:

Our group pic, of course there were more exchange students, but they were still eating in the canteen :-)
Me, Mai (she is so pretty!) and my friend Lara

Okay, I hope I will have some good news the next days when I post again. I will give my best now at the final spurt!

Easter is coming nearer!

Hello everyone, are you enjoying a great weekend? It has been too long since my last post, I've been busy with the paper. I have 29 pages finished now, and I plan to get the whole thing done by the end of next week, before my birthday. I think I will come to 40 pages, if everything works out as I have planned.

When I went to town yesterday with my sis and a friend I realized it is Easter soon! You can see the Easter decoration averywhere in the shop's display! I took fotos of the one I liked most. It's from the "Lindt Goldhase" (Golden Bunny from a Sweet and Chocolate company called Lindt, very famous here in Germany). Have a look!

A giant easter bunny plushie (compare it to the chocolate rabbits beneath!)
From the other side :-)
Lol, I think he looks like an evil boss of a great bunny army, who are going to invade our households at Easter time!
Here is the smaller version which I got to Easter last year. Isn't he cute?

What about the Easter decoration in your countries? Is it even celebrated as much as here? Anyway, have a great weekend my dear readers!

EDIT! Don't miss the giveaway from RicAdeMus! There are two lovely items to win!

EDIT 2: Sara is having an awesome Giveway, too! Be sure to enter to not miss it!

Short update and more snapshots

The Bachelor paper is killing me! I try my best everyday, but it's so hard to sit down and write. Today I made it to another page, now I have 18 pages. Still 12 pages to reach the minimum requirement, hehehe.

Today I want to share some funny snapshots I made in Japan, have a laugh!

Due to cases of sexual harressment this rule was etablished on japanese trains.Though nobody's keeping to this rule, hahaha! I just thought it was funny seeing this the first time!
Wanna learn osaka dialect?? XDD (from the hostel we stayed with)
Lol, as if Japanese would be 2.2. metres tall XDD Maybe this sign is for all the tall foreigners? :-)
Only funny to those who can speak proper German :-) "Ein glücklich name Schmelzbrötchen" makes no sense, if translated it would mean "A happy name meltbread", hahaha.
A hair dresser's entrance. I wouldn' want to have my hair cut there, maybe there will be a surprise regarding the outcome like: Peek a Boo! Look what we've made with your head XDDDD

See you! I am back playing with my paper... :-)
