It's almost done!

I can't believe it, it is almost done! I only have to write the conclusion chapter (about 3 pages) now, and then I will be finished! Then I will have it proof-read, printed out and binded. Are you interested in seeing my paper? Then I will share some fotos later, my deadline is April, 16. Honestly, I don't care about the mark I will gain for my final acadamic paper, I am just happy it will be done soon (hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday).

Then, I also can't believe it's my birthday this week on Thursday. I will become 23 years old. I really feel old now, especially after having met some Japanese exchange students (see pics below) from our partner university in Nagoya the last weeks. Many of them just started their German studies and were only about 19 years old. I can't even remember anymore, what I did with 19 except for having finished high school at that time around. And now I am almost finished with university. Time is flying too fast. Can you remember what it was like whan you were at my age? Or if you are at my age now, what you did when you were younger, let's say about 18, 19?

Anyway, have some pics from our last meeting at university, before they left for Japan:

Our group pic, of course there were more exchange students, but they were still eating in the canteen :-)
Me, Mai (she is so pretty!) and my friend Lara

Okay, I hope I will have some good news the next days when I post again. I will give my best now at the final spurt!

Random Japan Picture Post

My paper is almost done! I can't really believe it! Still 6 pages to the end (I am at 34 pages atm). Let's hope I manage to get the whole thing done by the end of this week. :-) Thank you everyone for your support until now, it means a lot to me! I will think about a way how I can show my appreciation to you soon, that'a a promise!

Today, I thought it was time again to share some fotos from Japan (2008) with you! They are really random! I just took my camera and took pictures of anything which I thought was worth taking a picture of. Have fun and enjoy!

Kitty sweets from a supermarket in Yokohama
More sweets
Ad for purikura machine with Japanese gals
Rilakkuma Coffee from a Convience Store called Lawson
Starbucks Macchha (Green Tea) Frappe!
Plastic models from the Japanese McDonalds asssortment!

I still have tons of such random fotos, so this series will be continued for sure! If you want to see more of them, of course! Sometimes it can be boring to look at fotos another one took, right? Just tell me! XDD
By the way, this is my 40th post! ^0^ Thanks to everyone who was with me the last 40 posts!

Easter is coming nearer!

Hello everyone, are you enjoying a great weekend? It has been too long since my last post, I've been busy with the paper. I have 29 pages finished now, and I plan to get the whole thing done by the end of next week, before my birthday. I think I will come to 40 pages, if everything works out as I have planned.

When I went to town yesterday with my sis and a friend I realized it is Easter soon! You can see the Easter decoration averywhere in the shop's display! I took fotos of the one I liked most. It's from the "Lindt Goldhase" (Golden Bunny from a Sweet and Chocolate company called Lindt, very famous here in Germany). Have a look!

A giant easter bunny plushie (compare it to the chocolate rabbits beneath!)
From the other side :-)
Lol, I think he looks like an evil boss of a great bunny army, who are going to invade our households at Easter time!
Here is the smaller version which I got to Easter last year. Isn't he cute?

What about the Easter decoration in your countries? Is it even celebrated as much as here? Anyway, have a great weekend my dear readers!

EDIT! Don't miss the giveaway from RicAdeMus! There are two lovely items to win!

EDIT 2: Sara is having an awesome Giveway, too! Be sure to enter to not miss it!

I love Onigiri

Hey everyone, are you enjoying a great weekend? I do, since I decided to take a day off from the paper XD Just have to do more tomorrow then. Today I made some Onigiri, japanese riceballs. I think they are ideal for snacking inbetween. My friend (the one who dressed me up in a Kimono) told me how to do, it is surprisingly simple! Have a picture and get hungry! :-)

Happy Birthday! :-)

Thanks everyone for your nice comments on my last post! I will look for other fotos like that in my files, maybe there are some more! :-) Today I just worked on my paper, now I am at proud 21 pages! Somehow I had a flow of motivation today, hope this will keep on going! If it goes on like this, I am sure to be finished before my birthday. Btw, birthday, Congratulations, RicAdeMus! I hope you have a happy bitrhday. I am so glad I got to know you! Thanks for your kind words each time. This is for you!

I just found the photo, so this is not baked by me! But I would have loved to bake a cake for you (then eat it by myself, hahaha!) Actually, this is a Christmas Cake XDDD

Short update and more snapshots

The Bachelor paper is killing me! I try my best everyday, but it's so hard to sit down and write. Today I made it to another page, now I have 18 pages. Still 12 pages to reach the minimum requirement, hehehe.

Today I want to share some funny snapshots I made in Japan, have a laugh!

Due to cases of sexual harressment this rule was etablished on japanese trains.Though nobody's keeping to this rule, hahaha! I just thought it was funny seeing this the first time!
Wanna learn osaka dialect?? XDD (from the hostel we stayed with)
Lol, as if Japanese would be 2.2. metres tall XDD Maybe this sign is for all the tall foreigners? :-)
Only funny to those who can speak proper German :-) "Ein glücklich name Schmelzbrötchen" makes no sense, if translated it would mean "A happy name meltbread", hahaha.
A hair dresser's entrance. I wouldn' want to have my hair cut there, maybe there will be a surprise regarding the outcome like: Peek a Boo! Look what we've made with your head XDDDD

See you! I am back playing with my paper... :-)

Kimono Class and some other Photos

Good news, my PC is working normal again, Thank God!! I can post again whenever I want! :-) I promised to post some new photos this time, so here they are!

Last weekend, my sister and me were invited to my friend's place, where I was allowed to wear her precious Kimono. I have never worn a Kimono before, I only wore Yukata last summer in Japan. It was a great experience, but after putting on thousands of layers (which took about 40 minutes), breathing became really hard, hahaha!

I just couldn't remove my beloved glasses, hahaha! :-)
Here's the Obi (which costs about 20,000 (!!!) Yen)
My friend, me and my sister

Just for comparism: this is when we wore Yukata in summer 09 in Japan ( I want my short hair back XD)

Now a photo which doesn't have anything to do with Kimonos or Yukata. Sara Mari encouraged me to post more of my snapshots I made during my trips in Japan.See the first one, it is very similar to the one Sara posted. XDDD

I thought he was kinda cute, and since he was sleeping anyway, I just took his photo. And I absolutely love his school uniform, wheee!!

Okay, enough picture spam for today! Good night!

Hiatus over and some other things

I am back! I missed you all so much, and your posts and comments. Damn that stupid virus, it is still on my computer, I am writing this from my sister's laptop. The next days I will be busy catching up with the paper, because I lost 8 days time of writing. But I will try to blog alongside, too!

Waaa, 8 days without internet and computer is rather long if you are used to using both every day. But I somehow made it, and realized that I've got so much free time without it, to do things I normally won't. :-) But I cannot live without blogging for so long. :-)

It is time for another "A Piece of Me" Game for March. Time really flies by lately! So here are the answers:

This month:
I like: That spring is supposed to come, it is still so cold
I don't like: Writing on my paper, what else? :-))
I've planned: To finish the bachelor paper before my birthday (April, 1)
I want to say to someone special: Dear A. Good luck with your studies in Japan for one year! I can't wait to have you back here next year, and I will miss you so much!

Also, while catching up reading your posts, I saw that I was nominated for two awards by RicAdeMus! Thank you so much, I feel honoured to be nominated that much lately! :-)

The Beautiful Blogger Award: Share 7 hidden facts about yourself!

Hidden facts... facts that no one knows about me? :-) Now you know! :-)
1. I actually like Boy's Love Manga stories very much, though they are quite infamous, hehehe. One of them is also going to be a part of my bachelor paper, so I have an acadamic reason for my interest! XDD
2. I absolutely drink no alcohol, and have never smoked in my life.
3. I go to bed about midnight or even later every day (I know it's not healthy, but I am so used to it now!)
4. I can knit about 5 hours at once, before my hands start hurting.
5. Somtimes I sing while doing housework (it is embarrasing, so I only do it while there is no one else around)
6. I am so lazy that I don't do any sports, except cycling, going for a walk and climbing stairs.
7. I rarely cry. If I do, then something terrible must have happened.

RicAdeMus also named me for the Sunshine Award, saying I helped him out of a funk. But what exactly did I do? I didn't do anything special. I was just reading your blog, typed a few words as a comment and sent it. I wish I could have done more! :-) Anyways, you are welcome!

Oh well, this post has become rather long. Congrats to everyone who read it to the very end. The next post will be more interesting with some new fotos to share. Look forward.
