Almost 3 months in Tokyo

Wow, I can't believe almost 3 months have passed since my arrival in Tokyo! Time is really flying here! I really don't know what to write about today, so I guess I just share some pictures with you. Life is as always, I'm working, meeting friends and trying to have as much fun as possible XD

As you might know, I'm a huge fan of point cards here in Tokyo, and of course I have one for my favourite game center near our apartment. Wednesday is Charlotte's and my Purikura Day since we get double the points, haha! Have a look at the newest Purikura, which turned out to be so cute! Sometimes those stupid machines make me look so ugly cause it doesn't recognize my eyes as such, for example :-)

The other day I met up with my sis to catch up with the latest news, I see her around once a week. We went to eat Omelett Rice in Shibuya's Pomme no Ki Restaurant, and it has become my favourite ever since! I wanna go there as often as I can from now on, haha! Specially when I receive my first salary! (Payday is Feb, 25 so I still have to wait one more month)

Yesterday I was able to meet up with the lovely Meow from My Tokyo Dream! It was so good to finally see her in person since I'm a huge fan of her blog. We had a lot of fun doing purikura, shopping and chatting! Hope to see you soon again!

You can see me and me here, she is cute isn't she? For more purikura and other fotos from my Working Holiday which I don't post on blogger, please visit my facebook page! I have a lot of uploads over there!

Oh, and I didn't tell you about my second job yet, didn't I? It is a job on a irregular basis cause the English converstation cafe notifiys me only on a short notice if they need chat hosts, so I don't know when will be the next actual time I can work. But it is really easy earned extra money! :-)

A few days ago I went to a "nomikai" (drinking after work) with the store manager, the vice manager and 7 co-workers in Azabu Juuban, which was really fun. I realized alcohol in Japan is really weak, since I had three huge glasses and was not drunk, lol.

New Ufo gets! I slowly get better, hahaha. I got the two plastic burgers with two free plays, and the two bigger Snoopies and Woodstock for only 100 Yen each :-)

Snacks of the day: Meiji Melty Kiss Chocolate with Royal Milk Tea Flavour which Charlotte was so kind to get for us (yeah, we wanna try out everything with RMT flavour) and Jagabee Butter Shoyu Flavour (I'm so addicted to Jagabees lately)

I was tagged by my lovely Shou-chan for a question, which was "Which products do you use for daily skincare" You see, only 3 products do I use everyday, since I'm (thank God) blessed with rather good skin :-) My cleansing foam is from the japanese company Kracie with peach essence (my insider tipp for red spots and blemishes btw), the lotion in the tube is from the pharmacy on prescription, and my night lotion from Lush! Makes your skin unbelivablky soft and moist.

Just to end this post and for the fun part: A pic of me making Okonomiyaki in a restaurant (taken with Charlotte's mobile phone, haha!)

Okay, starting tomorrow, I have to work 4 days in a row, so no time to post I guess!! See you soon! Let's 頑張りましょうね!Btw, I've sent off 5 letters today, so the pile of letters to be written is shrinking slowly! I'll write the other 5 the upcoming week, so please look forward to getting mail from Tokyo :-)

Little Update

Good morning from Tokyo! Are you guys doing fine? I'm doing very fine atm, I don't have to work today and plan to explore my neighbourhood a little bit, I can walk to Otsuka in like half an hour, haha! Maybe I can take some interesting pictures for you and the blog then.

Until then I just want to update with some fotos, have fun! :-)

Bear shaped donuts from Mister Donuts which I bought for me and Charlotte as dessert. They were really yummy, and ever since seeing them on Sara Mari's blog I wanted to try them, too!! I had the brown one (caramel flavoured) and Charlotte had the strawberry flavoured. Both were filled with delicious whipped cream :-)

New gets: I caught the yellow cat for only 100 Yen, new word cards (I really have to study, haha) and a huge wallet from Swimmer which I got from the Sale for only 500 Yen (it was for sold 1300 Yen originally). I've always wanted to have such a huge wallet!

New clothing from Honeys! I bought the flower patterend cardigan for only 980 Yen (which was 2990 Yen before, yeah, you see I'm quite the cheapskate, lol), and the other set from was a present from my lovely sis.

Discovery of the day: Royal Milke Tea flavored Kit Kat!! I am really addictd to Royal Milk Tea, the best drink ever! XD I really love to go to the supermarket and check out their newest stuff (yeah, I have no life and no friends, lol) and sometimes you can make some awesome discoveries! Japan is famous for having those "kikan gentei" stuff (limited editions). Next time I wanna check out Oreo's strawberry chocolate cake :-)

Salad I made yesterday (lettuce, wiener sausage, cuccumber and Narutomaki, which is fishcake). So yummy!

So much about my last couple of days in pictures! Now I have to start cooking lunch for Charlotte and me, cause she has to leave for university soon! I feel like a mom, hihihi!

BTW, thanks to all of you guys who sent me letters the last two months, I am already preparing letters for you! Three are already written, and more are to come :-) And please look forward to my huge GIVEAWAY which I actually planned on my blog's first anniversary on Nov, 23, but couldn't realize it due to several reasons, but soon I will announce the special rules to enter this time! Look forward!

I suddenly had to think of Sara Mari, whom I miss so much. Wish you were here, for hanging around with me on my free day! ;___;

January in Tokyo

Good morning readers, even though it is Saturday I stood up at 7, haha! I wanna have more of my day and not oversleep most of my time here, haha! Specially now, as I have a job that is really time consuming, my free time shall not be used for sleeping until noon (like I did in my first two months here, lol). It has so many advantages to stand up early, I could do all my stuff, cleaned the apartment, found time to blog etc and it is not even 11 am yet. Still 3 more hours until I have to leave for work. Yeah, I have to work on weekends, but that's totally fine with me since weekends are always busy and I love to have my free time weekdays when it is not crowded. Work is doing fine, I got my own Tullys apron a few days ago :-) My name plate has yet to arrive, but I'm enjoying work so far. About the interview I had the other day, it seems they are giving me a chance to proof myself in a trial shift next week, I'd be so happy if that works out as well! Keep your fingers crossed for me! XD It can't hurt to earn some extra money, right? Specially in super expensive Tokyo!!

Well, if I'm not working or playing housewife, I try to have fun in Tokyo, haha! (Oh, did you expect that?) The last couple of days I've had many opportunities to hang around with my girls Sara Mari and Emma, who have become such lovely friends, it is always so fun to hang around! I'll show you some purikura (we took that many I can't upload them all, check my facebook if you wanna see them). Yesterday I had the chance to meet Mitsu from Universal Doll as well, cause she joined our meet-up spontanously!

They were all so fashionable, and maybe you're wondering why I'm hanging around with Gals as I'm no one myself, haha! Have some more purikura! (Sorry fo that Puri overflow, I just forgot to take normal fotos with my camera)

Sorry for the different order but I was trying to make such a layout  for the first time, hope it will look good at the end! It is quite difficult as I am too bad with computer and layouts and such, hahaha! I wanna take this opportunity and say thank you again girls for having spent all those lovely times with me! I'm gonna miss Sara alot who has to return to the US this Sunday, but I'm sure she will be back here in an instant so that we can hang around again! Have a safe trip home back dear Sara!<3
Well, after that faboulous meetup with the girls, Charlotte and me met up with that guy, (let's call him A.) I mentioned in my last posts. I know you guys were waitng for this, right? XD Finally we met after all that postponing and stuff. He seems to be such a  busy person with work as you will see later on, haha! Well, we choose to meet at Shinjuku Southern Terrace City at 8, but he came half an hour too late. Normally women are too late, lol. At least he mailed me before he would be late because of work, and we thought he won't show up at all, so Charlotte and me decided to warm ourselves up with a hot drink at Starbucks. I mailed him that we are inside Starbucks and waited. When he finally showed up we were so relieved, it is not nice to be stood up by someone, luckily that never happend to me before :-) Actually he wanted to bring another friend, but he was too busy with work, so he couldn't come. So it was only the three of us heading to the next Izakaya, which was of course crowded (Fryiday night, as you can imagine), and we had to wait, but A. somehow got the waiter to let us go through way earlier (Wonder how he did that?). After having ordered drinks and food we were able to have a chat (yay, finally I could speak Japanese again, I love that so much), got to know each other better and it was quite funny! Though I think he tried to hit on Charlotte, haha! After about an hour he got a call from that friend who couldn't come, that there was some trouble in the office and he had to leave earlier. He was really sorry for that, but he let us at least eat up all that delicious food, it would have been a waste :-) It was on him, of course, haha! That's the good thing about dating, you can be sure (well, in most cases) that you will be treated, lol. Well, before leaving we exchanged phone mail addresses (as I've only used his number before). Well, the evening was quite unspectactular, but cool nevertheless, I liked it, and I hope Charlotte did, too. I think this was not the last time we met A. Now I think my first impression of A. didn't blind me, he seems to be really nice, and I'm glad I asked for his number at the interview, haha! Maybe I have some more interesting stories to tell soon, so stay tuned, lol. Oh, and I don't have a foto from that evening, but Charlotte can assure you that A. was really good-looking >__<

Okay, I gotta head off for work now (today's an 8 hour shift). And if you still haven't got enough of purikura, here is a final one for you, dedicated to all of our readers, friends and followers! We love you!

Oh my God, we will be on NHK Tokyo Kawaii TV XD

Hey followers, thanks a bunch for your lovely comments on my last post! I'm doing very fine at the moment, still a little bit exhausted, but happy XD It also has gotten colder in Tokyo, today the wind was so cold!

I think I'm doing pretty good in my new job (for all of those who don't know yet, I'm working in Tully's Cafe, a coffee shop chain similar to Starbucks but by far better, hihi) but as I'm only part-time there I think I need to look for a second job to fill out my free days. Last week I had to work five times, but the upcoming week I only have two shifts. A few days ago I got an unepected invitation to a job interview which surprised me a lot. I applied like over one and a half months ago! Anyway, I will have that interview tomorrow in Iidabashi, and if it works out I will have a second job! Maybe I'm on a lucky streak atm?? Lol.

On January 8 I attended the big Gyaru meetup organized by Sara Mari and it was lovely to meet all those pretty girls from all over the world. Most of them were on holiday in Tokyo, but there were also some who lived here. I think I was the one who looked least like a gyaru, cause practically speaking Im no gyaru, haha!

The special thing about that day was that the television (NHK) was with us the whole day! They contacted Sara Mari and recorded for an upcoming episode of Tokyo Kawaii TV which will be aired FEB 26! They interviewed almost everyone, jep also me but I was talking about stupid stuff, hahaha! My Gosh, it will be so embarrasing to see myself in that show, half of Japan is gonna make fun out me, hahaha!

Have some fotos of the day! Lou, Emma and me were styling ourselves in my apartment before we headed for Shibuya :-)

Sara Mari, our leading Gal! She was looking gorgeous that day!

A group picture (but not everybody who attended the meet-up is on this pic)

I love to post Purikura, but I have too many of that day, please have a look at my facebook page if you want to see them all (and other pics of the day of course!)

NHK followed us the whole day and filmed us while shopping, doing purikura and finally karaoke (sponsored by NHK as well) It was super exciting but also very tiring, at the end of the day I was deadly tired, hahaha!

Well, what else is there to say, it was a fabulous day with a lot of fun, I'm really glad I went to the meet-up and got to meet so many new and pretty girls. It was a bit awkward for me to be with so many beauties cause I'm no gyaru and came simply dressed, lol. But it was fun nevertheless. A huge thanks again to Sara Mari who organized and coordinated everything. I'm sure there will be another meet-up like this in the near future, so for those who could not attend it this time, there will be another time.

Well, since I have to work only two times this week, I have plenty of time left to spend with friends and also with Sara Mari before she returns. If anybody wants to join?

Oh and yes, to my female friends here in Japan, are you interested in meeting up with me and the guy from the always postponed Christmas Date?? He called me the other day and asked when I'm free and I can bring friends too. He will bring some of his friends too, so don't miss this chance to get to know japanese people! I thought it it was always so difficult to get in touch with Japanese (lol, most of my friends here in Tokyo are foreign, haha!), so feel free to join the fun! XD

It is so hard to say goodbye

Happy New Year Dear Readers!! :-) I may be late, but here is my update about the latest news from Tokyo! I hope you all had a lovely start into the new year? Mine was like every year, very cosy and my pace alike. My sis came over to stay overnight, since Charlotte was away for New Year's, and all we did was eating and watching youtube, haha! In Japan, there are no fireworks as it is common in other countries, so it was so silent at midnight, lol. Anways, I didn't feel like partying at all, cause I always suffer from an "end of the year depression". It is nothing serious and to worry about, I was just feeling down for no particular reason. This time it seemed to be worse than the years before cause there was another incident which made me so upset, but by now everything is fine again.

So now about the last couple of days: I finally started at my new working place, and it is so much fun! I have to adjust and learn about a lot of new things, but I'm sure I can make it, cause the co-workers are really nice and patient with me XD Thanks again to my friends without whose help I wouldn't have get this job. :-)

I was also able to meet up with the lovely Sara Mari a couple of times, which made me really happy, since I feel like we've become good friends in this short time. I will be so sad when she has to leave earlier as planned since an unexpected family matter happend and it will make her return to the US. Thank you for spending the time with me, I wish we could have had more time together :-) But surely we will have the chance to meet up soon again! :-)

Well, today I spent the day again with Sara Mari and my very good friend Steffi, we had a funny girly afternoon in Shibuya, doing purikura, drinking coffee and shopping :-) Sara wanted to buy some items from TuTuHa in 109, and it was fun browsing the stuff and have a little chat with the shop staff :-) It was the first time I saw Morimayu-san from so near, hahaha! She is really cute and friendly.

Now, have some fotos! (Some fotos are from a few days before)
Sara highly concentrated at work, haha! She got some items for us for only 100 Yen!

She got us twin alpacas and twin Rilakkuma straps XDDD

I got this lovely present from Sara as well :-) Rilakkuma letter set and stickers!

A lovely non flash pic from Sara

Steffi and me XD She is so cue, isn't she? <3

Sara and me :-) Isn't she pretty? <3 And I look so messed up, haha

My care package from home arrived today!!! XDDD Don't ask me why it came in a Spongebob parcel!

It was such a huge package with a lot of goodies from home. My family loves me, hihi! XD

Purikura with Sara, Steffi and me, which turned out to be so cute ;)

The two girls are so beautiful, don't you think so, too?

Sara and Steffi are going to return soon to the US and Germany, and I know that I'll miss them heaps. It is so hard to say goodbye, specially to good friends which both of them definitely are. At least I get to see Steffi one more time this Saturday on the great Blogger-Meetup!

Hope you guys have a good night, I'll go sleeping now, tomorrow is again a working day!! XD See you!
