Post 98: Random update

I've got some great news from Japan! My friend Ai gave birth to a beautiful baby boy called Hinata yesterday, 21 September at 09:43 PM local time. She sent me a foto, and he's just adorable, he's got much black hair! Mommy and child are doing well. Congratulations, Ai, I can't believe you're a very young Mommy now! I shall pay you a visit asap.

I was awarded again, which makes me happy everytime cause lovely bloggers think of me :-) Thank you, dear NeNe for two awards at the same time!

 One Lovely Blog Award!

Here are the rules for accepting this award:

1. Accept the award. Post it on your blog with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link.
2. Pay it forward to 15 other bloggers that you have newly discovered.

I don't think I even get 15 new bloggers together cause I'm always following the same blogs:-) Everyone who thinks he/she is a new reader shall be nominated.

A Blog with Substance Award!
Here are the rules for accepting this award:

1. Thank the blogger who gave me the award
2. Sum up your blogging philosophy, motivation, and experience using five words
Friends, Share, Love, Respect,Happiness
3. Pass this on to 10 other bloggers that you feel have a substance in their blogs

My blogging philosophy:
I started blogging just out of boredom and fun, but it has bestowed me with so many new friends, who I hope to meet in rl soon. I wanna share everything with my readers, as I love them so much. I have a high respect for other people's blogs, as each of those are masterpieces of their creativity and way of communication. Let's spread happiness and brighten up each other's days.

I think every blog has a substance somehow, and therefore you all shall be nominated.

Another topic: do you own points card? They are not so popular here in Germany, but slowly most of the shops have point cards to attract customers. In most cases you get points for shoppping, and after reaching a certain amount of points you get a discount or something for free. I must say, I wasn't a  fan of point cards (you have to carry so much junk in your wallet already, so where's the space to store some more??), but after having been to Japan several times I grew very fond of them! I'm looking forward to make many point cards when I've settled in Tokyo, so that I can say "yes", in case they ask for one at the cashier, which they do actually most of the time, doesn't matter what shop I was in :) Now I also know why Japanese women need such a huge wallet, haha!
Different kinds of point cards and yeah, that's my wallet atm!

I really like the point cards from Restaurants or Cafes, since you usually get a hot drink or something to eat for free after a certain amount of points. I love food so much, hehehe, one could say I'd think with my stomach XD Hey, it's better than nothing, right? At Starbucks, f. ex. you have to drink 7 coffees, and the eighth one is for free. Too bad they don't have the point card at Starbucks any longer XD

Okay, that's it for today, I must hurry now if I don't wanna come late for a dinner with friends in an Izakaya, which I will post about tomorrow! I'll also answer to your comments from the previous post then! See you!

Sushi for free XD

First of all, I'm so sorry for the sudden problems with the new comment system and the inconvinience it has caused all of you. I checked Disqus site again and could restore some comments already, some of them are still missing. But it says that they are queued for importing to Disqus, so I think most of the comments will return, but it will just take a while. Thank God, I was so devastated about loosing the comments... I'm also sorry that there are problems to comment as blogger user as well, I made some test comments while logged off at Disqus and it seems you have to have to enter your name and email just once and then it will remember the data for commenting next time. At least it just worked a sec ago. If there are still any problems please let me know!

About the title of this post: my sis and me went to a sushi restaurant yesterday, cause we got a voucher for a free sushi set! It was quite good, and we saved about 15 Euros with the voucher :-) And because I like to post food pictures so much, here you are! :-)

Yakitori

One of the plates was for free :-)

I was tagged by London's Beauty for a question and answers game, thanks for that! Here are her questions:

1)If your mum and your boyfriend/girlfriend jumped in the river, who'd you save first?
I save my mum, cause I have no boyfriend, hahaha.

2)Would you rather be really white and pale or really tanned [tangoed]?
White of course, I'm Asian, XDD

3)Family or Friends?
    Both, I can't decide :-)

4)If your boyfriend/girlfriend cheated on you, would you give him/her a second chance?
Depends on the situation, but generally no, I think :-(

5)Hugs or Kisses?
    Hugs, I love hugs!

6)What country do you want to be in right now?
    Japan, of course <33

7)If you saw someone drop 5grand on the floor, would you chase after him and give it back ?
Yes, I'm an honest person, and since I know how hard it is to earn money myself!

8)Strawberries and chocolate or strawberries and cream? :))
    I don't like strawberries :-)) But I love chocolate and cream! <33

9)If you were to bury something in the ground, wait for 30 years and dig it back up, what would it be?
I don't know but maybe something's that is unimportant to me, lol. Don't wanna bury my important stuff in the ground

10)What do you do if you see an animal cross the road? [LOL my brother made this question up, I ran out of questions to ask, I think it was suppose to be a joke.]
I'd try to rescue it, of course, without getting myself in danger :-)

Award and Meet-up with Shou-chan!!

I was tagged again by London's Beauty, thanks so much my dear! Share 7 random facts about yourself! I hope I didn't write about them already. Maybe my facts are too boring as well!

1) I am Vietnamese with a slight Chinese (through my father's side), but I can't speak or read or undertstand any Chinese, hahahaha!

2) I grew up bilingual, meaning I have two mother tongues, German and Vietnamese. I can also speak English, Japanese, and basic French.

3) I am an absolutely non drinker and non smoker (I'm such a good girl XD) and don't like to party (which also makes me kinda boring, hahaha).

4) I love meeting new people! Blogging has given me so many new friends and opportunities, I can't thank you enough for your loyalty and support!

5) I am an almost vegetarian, I still eat fish and chicken, though, but no other meat :-)

6) I love letter writing and crafty things!

7) I can't play any instument nor can I sing properly, but I still go to Karaoke in Japan, it is so much fun!

Today I met up with the lovely and cute Shou-chan! And, oh my God, she is always so cute on the fotos she posts, but she is even more prettier in real life! Many of you might know her super cute blog スイート・ミルク・コーヒー ("Sweet Milk Coffee" for all of you who cannot read Japanese XD). I highly recommend you to follow!

It was the first time for me to meet a blogger friend, and it was a great meet-up! I chatted her ear off, hahahaha! No, honestly I was afraid that the conversational topics would end soon, and that we'd have nothing to say, but luckily that wasn't so! We took some purikura (since the local Japanese bookstore has a new machine :-), had some nice coffee in a japanese cafe and Onigiri in a newly opened Onigiri shop, where we also had a nice chat with the owner. Have some fotos!

Purikura we took! Sorry for the low quality, my scanner must be the oldest one exisiting, hahaha!

Something weird happened in the Onigiri shop :-) A group of Asian guys (they were speaking French though!) kind of waved their hands and said Hello when seeing us, we had the feeling they were kinda flirting with us??? Wth? I think it must be because of Shou-chan,  they tried to hit on her, cause this never happens when I'm alone, hahaha!

"My beautiful coffee"

Shou-chan's Caramel Macchiato

I specially like this one, isn't she pretty? :-) (I did not ask for permission to post this one, hope that's okay for you, if not tell me, I'll delete it at once! :-))

A foto of us in the cafe

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks again to Shou-chan for spending the day with me, I hope we'll see each other again soon! :-)) It was a super funny day! :-))

Awards again!

Hey, I was awarded again, two time by the wonderful Naka! Thank you girl, I feel loved and I really appreciate that! :-)

Where do you think you'll be in 10 years?
Wow, in 10 years I'll be 33... hopefully I'll have a house and a safe job (in Japan or in Germany) till then. I also wanna say of myself I've seen a lot of this world. And of course I'd be still into everything japanese :-)

I nominate:

I nominate:

As lovely as awards are, it takes me too much time to write about them :-)) But it's till fun, so keep on tagging me! I still have to do a post about a tag game from Jessi! I didn't forget about that, just had so little time to do it!

I wanna leave you with a guessing game today! You maybe know that there are some weird machines or devices to be found only in Japan, I found some of those browsing my Japan-fotos files.

What do think is this? Well, those who are able to read Japanese may already know, so no prompting, please!

This is where I wanna be right now. Foto was taken from Odaiba, you can see Tokyo Tower and the Rainbow Bridge pretty well.

Next time I maybe have something more interesting to post, since today I'm going to two farewell partys for our two japanese interns at university, who will return to Japan the next days. See you then and have a lovely day! :-)

But now as it is, everything is finished about the new layout, I hope you do like it as much as I do.

I want to thank you all for your lovely comments on the cupcakes. I want to go there again next week, then I'll tell the shop owner that you liked her creations! :-) I think she will be happy about it. I will also ask her if I may take some pictures of the cafe building itself. It is really cute!

Hiatus over and some other things

I am back! I missed you all so much, and your posts and comments. Damn that stupid virus, it is still on my computer, I am writing this from my sister's laptop. The next days I will be busy catching up with the paper, because I lost 8 days time of writing. But I will try to blog alongside, too!

Waaa, 8 days without internet and computer is rather long if you are used to using both every day. But I somehow made it, and realized that I've got so much free time without it, to do things I normally won't. :-) But I cannot live without blogging for so long. :-)

It is time for another "A Piece of Me" Game for March. Time really flies by lately! So here are the answers:

This month:
I like: That spring is supposed to come, it is still so cold
I don't like: Writing on my paper, what else? :-))
I've planned: To finish the bachelor paper before my birthday (April, 1)
I want to say to someone special: Dear A. Good luck with your studies in Japan for one year! I can't wait to have you back here next year, and I will miss you so much!

Also, while catching up reading your posts, I saw that I was nominated for two awards by RicAdeMus! Thank you so much, I feel honoured to be nominated that much lately! :-)

The Beautiful Blogger Award: Share 7 hidden facts about yourself!

Hidden facts... facts that no one knows about me? :-) Now you know! :-)
1. I actually like Boy's Love Manga stories very much, though they are quite infamous, hehehe. One of them is also going to be a part of my bachelor paper, so I have an acadamic reason for my interest! XDD
2. I absolutely drink no alcohol, and have never smoked in my life.
3. I go to bed about midnight or even later every day (I know it's not healthy, but I am so used to it now!)
4. I can knit about 5 hours at once, before my hands start hurting.
5. Somtimes I sing while doing housework (it is embarrasing, so I only do it while there is no one else around)
6. I am so lazy that I don't do any sports, except cycling, going for a walk and climbing stairs.
7. I rarely cry. If I do, then something terrible must have happened.

RicAdeMus also named me for the Sunshine Award, saying I helped him out of a funk. But what exactly did I do? I didn't do anything special. I was just reading your blog, typed a few words as a comment and sent it. I wish I could have done more! :-) Anyways, you are welcome!

Oh well, this post has become rather long. Congrats to everyone who read it to the very end. The next post will be more interesting with some new fotos to share. Look forward.

Here is the opened version. I absolutely love the keyboard, which allows me to text message very fast! :-) My favourite colour is pink, as to answer Sara's question. The straps are a Statue of Liberty Odaiba Kitty, the Cookie Monster from the USJ Osaka and a Rilakkuma Mobile Cleaner from the Rilakkuma Store in Osaka.
I used to have more straps dangling from my mobile! :-)

2. I wanted to become a pianist as a 7 year old, even though I never had any piano lessons.
3. I loved my Barbie dolls, but I also liked to destroy them and put them together again.
4. I collected stickers in elementary school and I still have them all!
5. I have a soft spot for anything cute and small.

Hmm, let's see, as I don't have that many friends here on blogspot yet, I tag
