Random Post =)

Thank you for kind words on my last post, I'm really happy I could share that moment with you. It feels great to have an acadamical degree now, but on the other hand, I also feel like nothing really changed. I'm still the same person I was two days ago. Anyway, I hope this will make it easier for me to get a job in Tokyo, as I also speak quite passable Japanese and even look Asian, hahaha! Speaking of  WH, I will get some new passport fotos this week, write the letter the motivation and then finally apply for the Visa at the beginning of next week. I've got less than 4 weeks left now, so I gotta hurry up! XD

As I couldn't upload any fotos yesterday (thank you Blogger) I just do it today!

A random poster I saw lately. I think it was an advertisment for some radio show or so. Just thought it was funny. It says: "Don't worry Be German - An American becomes German". I wrote one of my uni papers about stereoypes presented in the japanese popular culture, and it seems the japanese and german way of a stereotypical American would be like this XD

As I've got only 4 weeks left, my Mum says I should start packing my stuff now, or I will forget many things :-) I always reply it's too early, but Mums can be so strict sometimes, haha! I thought I just take this opportunity to show you my travel luggage. I have a big Swimmer travel bag and a pink suitcase which I both bought in Japan. It looks so small on the foto but it's actually quite spacious. As I'm an expert on how to pack stuff efficiantly into a suitcase that it won't explode when you open it, I think I'll manage to get everything I need inside those two pieces. I'll also be allowed to have one more handbag, but I didn't decide yet which one to take.

For all the people who are still waiting for a letter from me, I'm so sorry I haven't replied yet! But I will do so this week, so expect the letters to arrive at your places in about 7 days, depending on where you live =)

For my next post, I'll write about something very typical for/ in Tokyo which I actually like but I know many people who don't, so that may become interesting.

Wanna eat some ice-cream?? XD

Hello friends, it's been a while (again). I am such a bad blogger not posting as much as I really want to, hahaha! Today I'm gonna post something fine for you!

But first of all, a huge thanks to everyone who took the effort to mail me their contact information for the penpalling thing! :-) I was so moved that many people want to have me as their penpal. Everyone who responded will get mail from me. But first, I'll send you an email back. I cannot promise to write that often, but it will be fun nevertheless! :-) Looking forward to your letters, and please wait for mine. :-)

Yesterday I had the night shift again at the Restaurant, and I went there without having taken off my flashy pink nail colour, ohohoh! When I wanted to, I realized my nail polish remover was empty! But my boss was cool, she let me work with those nails, I really love my boss, hahaha! But that will never happen again. I got a huge tip from a cute couple who have been eating japanese soba for the first time, so I had to practise with them holding chopsticks. Well, for me it is something so"natural", I mean the holding of chopsticks, that I totally forgot there are people who can't hold them properly, hahaha! It was very funny, we had a good talk as also (in my working time :-)

Today it's gonna get hot again after two days of normal summer weather! So what do we most do in summer? Eating ice-cream! :-) I have some fotos of ice-creams I had during my trips to Japan, so enjoy! :-)

We had all flavours of Baskin Robbins ice-cream in Japan! It was so amazing! My friend Yui spent so much money on them! Why don't we have that awesome ice-cream in Germany, too???

This is Maccha Kakigoori with Azuki beans as topping! It was so huge I couldn't eat is up alone! My hostfather bought this for us in Takamatsu, Shikoku.

This was Melon Soda with Vanilla flavoured Häagen Dasz eaten in Odaiba, Tokyo

Rasperry flavoured Kakigoori, also from Odaiba.

Mow's Milk Vanilla ice-cream (they had the caramel version last year, too!) Sorry for the blurriness!
Eaten at our homestay place in Kawaguchi, Saitama.

An ice-cream selling machine at the Onsen Resort in Kagawa, Shikoku, we went to. Of course we had to try this, too! I had the last one from the right of the second row :-)

Bonus Pic: Me (in Oct 2008 in Ai's house in Shikoku) eating ice-cream! Hope you enjoyed!

I'm looking forward to tonight's soccer match between Germany and Spain! I have many followers from Spain, but today I must say: Sorry my Spanish friends, Germany's gonna kick you out tonight! :-) XDDD

Oh, and yes, did I tell you I'm gonna be at the Cupcake Cafe I wrote about a couple of weeks ago again this Friday? I'll take more fotos this time. See you on Friday's post then! :-) Hope you enjoy some lovely sunny days until then!

EDIT: Sorry I couldn't post the last days, it has been so hot and I've been kinda burnt out on blogging :-) Will be better the next days! As for now, I wanna share this awesome giveaway with you!  Sophia Alexandra is a very sweet Lolita!

Let's become penpals XD

Sorry I couldn't post again the last days, I was so busy! Another reason was the currently unormal heat here in Germany. I swear, my room has about 35 degrees atm, and my PC could crash any moment, hahaha! We had a thunderstorm last night, it cooled down a bit, but now eveyrthing started all over again :-(

It seems that you guys liked my last post, didn't you? :-) Thank you for all of your kind and nice comments, I appreciate each and everyone of them! Some of your words really touched me, and I didn't know there were so many other people who share the same hobby with me! So I'd like to say: Let's do it! :-) Everyone who'd like to exchange letters with me, can do so. You can contact me by my private mail address (see profile) and tell me your contact information. I can't say I can write that often, but I will of course try to. I wanna keep on writing letters while I'm in Japan, too, so that's the chance for you to receive even cuter letters with the wonderful stationary I can get in Japan XDD Cool, I'm so much looking forward to receive nice letters from my awesome blogger friends!

Tomorrow I've gotta work again, too bad! I'll try to post something interesting soon again! Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend (and that you're not sweating like me :-)

EDIT: Enter Miruku's great giveaway!! There are great prizes to win! :-)

EDIT 2: I just entered Laurita's second Giveaway! There are some Loli goods to win! Make sure you enter, too!

Sorry friends I was so lazy to post the last days! I'll make sure to post something today (instead of doing all those Edits, I actually don't like! XD)

About Snail Mail and Sara Mari's Giveaway

Hello everyone, are you doing fine? I'm okay, it has become so hot lately in Germany, and my room is like an oven, so I can't use the Net that often, and I usually spend my time in the living room. Part time jobs are really exhausting atm, specially with this weather outside, but I'll give my best again. At least my restaurant shift changed from 18 to 19 o' clock, so that leaves me time to watch soccer today. It's Japan vs. Paraguay today!

I was surprised as I opened my dashboard today to see that I've got 193 followers! What?? I can't believe it. Is it only because I hold a giveaway or could it really be that people actually really like my blog and what I post about?? That makes me really happy, thank you, readers!!

Today I wanna write about snail mail. Do you also like snail mail as much as I do?? I've been writing letters since I started learning to write, so that's over 17 years ago, hahaha! I am the self proclaimed expert on writing cute and (hopefully interesting) letters, and I wanna show you why :-) I love snail mail so much, most of my salary goes into that. No, kidding, I'm saving my hard earned money for my WH in Japan. XD

In our times of electronic communication, a handwritten letter is something special right? I love the feeling when I open my post box to see a letter for me inside, expected or unexpected doesn't matter. Sometimes a few lines from people you love or adore can really make your day. Okay, let the fotos speak!

Here are some of the letters I received from friends within the years (I own some more boxes full of letters :-)

Here you see some standard stuff I use for writing letters, glue stick, scissors, cute tape, loads of pens and colours, ink, etc.

Cute stationary (I used to own LOTS of more, but since I'm writing quite much, it's used up very soon. I'll pick up new ones once I'm in Tokyo again :-)

Same goes for stickers, I had tons of it! This is really a very small amount, just a hand full :) I really love decorating letters with stickers.

My collection of Shitakjiki!! You put it between the papers you write to avoid traces on the next paper.

And finally, this is how my desk looks like when I write, next to me is always my Care Bear agenda, to check up what happend the last couple of days and to probably write about it! XD

Here are some finished results without stamp, though. Sorry I had to censor the foto to protect the addresses privacy :)

I hope you got a good impression of how my hobby is like. It takes a while to write, though, but if you know there will be a happy person smiling while reading your words, it is really worth it.

Oh, last but not least, enter one of my best Net friends Sara Mari's great Pack Your Bag's Giveaway!!! There are great prizes to win!

Did I already tell you I'll skip universtiy today?? It is too hot and I have to work in the late evening, so I better get some rest, hahahaha! See you next post!
